Vela Wines is proud to be pouring Twelfth Night wines at the Wequassett Resort & Golf Club in Harwich, MA for Orleans Wine & Spirits’ annual Grand Tasting on June 30 to raise money for We Can – an organization that empowers women in transition on Cape Cod.


Last night at Olive Connection

Everyone had a great time last night during the wine and cheese seminar led by Edi Raines at Olive Connections in Brookline.

Edi is truly enthusiastic about food and was able to demonstrate that when you pair the right cheese and wine together, math does not add up anymore and one plus one equals more than two!

We are looking forward to more events with Olive Connection and Edi!

Wine & Cheese Pairing at Olive Connection

On Thursday, November 5th from 7:00 pm – 8:30 pm, Eduard Raines, wine and cheese expert, will be at Olive Connection in Brookline, for a fun and delicious class on pairing cheeses from Spain, France, Italy, Switzerland, and Vermont with New Zealand wines from Vela Wines.  Space is limited, and registration is required.  You can find all the information here.  Looking forward to seeing you there!


WGBH Food & Wine Festival – Sept 17-20

Vela Wines is thrilled to be participating once again in the fabulous WGBH Food & Wine Festival from September 17-20.

This year, our 2013 Twelfth Night Riesling has been chosen as one of the featured wines for the Chef’s Gala on Thursday, September 17.  We will join Chef David Blessing of the acclaimed Stateroom restaurant as he pairs our Riesling with a Thai Lobster Taco with
Kaffir Lime, Coconut and Cilantro.

The fun continues throughout the weekend as we will be pouring all three Twelfth Night wines at the Artisan Taste on Saturday, September 19 and at the Brunch Bar on Sunday, September 20.

Meanwhile, in New Hampshire…

While on a weekend away in NH, Beth Ann and Arié stumbled upon this great restaurant in Laconia that just happened to have Twelfth Night Sauvignon Blanc on their menu! Thanks Sheila at Circa Wines! Great food -our favorite were the poppers, the duck confit rolls and their absolutely amazing ‘how sweet it is’ sourdough pizza-, great restaurant and lovely owners – thanks to Ray and Leslie for a wonderful evening.
